Multiple developments underway. First, the second song to be recorded is presently in the works! The artist who recorded the first song is working on the Finale closing. Of course my lyrics were too long. I’m guess I’m not good at writing a normal length song! Much editing and reworking has gotten the song into a better range. I have so much to say in words in music. I guess that is craft of learning to say it precisely! I do love the journey of the learning experience but it challenges me to let go of some of the material and lines.
Second big news – first Table Read of The Diana Effect is set for Nov 13th. Lets hope it goes well – it is a Friday the 13thdate. But maybe that is good superstition. Who knows, maybe Diana’s spirit and those of other First Ladies passed will join us. I certainly hope so! Regardless we will be channeling them through words and song. I’m calling any of the ladies who either read, critique or table read my “First Ladies Club”.
Lastly, its been on my mind - Aug 31, 1997. Next year will be 30 years since Diana’s passing. 30 years! It is time for her story to be told in a different way. The Diana Effect way!!!!!!!!
